No. My Babies!

Moss started bantering with Brooke over whose babies the girls are and Brooke finally declared, "No Daddy. I got them from Mommy and the doctor!" There is no doubt that she feels very strongly her place in their lives. She really adores them and is sure she can meet their every need, whether it is feeding or burping them or getting them a pacifier (which is what they need for sure). She is such a fun girl to have around.

A warm and wonderful Saturday

Last Saturday was a beautiful day, and so Moss and the kids finally got to finish the tether ball project that has been in the works for a while. The kids had a great time helping Moss, as well as getting wet and dirty. We put it in the backyard, and we all love to play it. I love warm weather. I love bare feet and playing in water. I love my kids being outside together running around. Maybe someday I will again get to live where there are mild and short winters.

We are in Love

The girls are now two weeks old, and somehow it seems like they have always been here. They are still quite demanding at night, and I am not really sure how we will survive without Grandma Carolyn here. But despite their nightly habits, they are adorable and sweet and we are really enjoying them. Fortunately they are quite happy and very tolerant of the affection they receive from their siblings. They are quite oblivious to all the ruckus that goes on around here and can sleep through anything. And until they can communicate otherwise, we will have fun dressing them and taking their picture together!

News Flash!!!

The long awaited day finally arrived for Anna. She was sure she was the only kid in the whole first grade to never lose a tooth. She refused to have her tooth pulled, so last night as she fiddled with it, it finally fell out. She jumped up off the couch with a whoop. She was also thrilled to discover that the one next to it is also very loose. Congradulations Anna!

Lillian- One week Old

Lillian is also adjusting well to life outside the womb. She is getting spoiled, and prefers to sleep next to us rather than in the crib. She is very sweet and bright-eyed. We are amazed at how much change happens in just a week.

Aleia- 1 week old

Well, it has been a week since the girls were born, and as I say "every day after birth is better than the one before." We are adjusting, and thank goodness my Mom is here because I surely don't have enough arms to do all that is required. Aleia is doing well, and adjusting to the world outside the womb. She has not quite figured out when she is supposed to sleep, but we hope it will be soon.

They are Here!

After what seemed like forever to me, the girls are here safe and healthy. They were born Saturday, December 27th. Because of possible complications they were delivered in the OR, which was not my favorite, but worth the safety of the babies. The delivery went as smoothly as possible and both girls were born without any complications or problems.

On the left is Lillian Charlotte, she weighed in at 5lbs 5ozs and is 18 inches long. On the right is Aleia Caroline, she weighed in at 5lbs. 6ozs. and is 19 inches long. Aleia was born first at 1:21pm, followed closely behind by Lillian who was born at 1:23pm.

Needless to say everyone is very excited to have them here.

Christmas Eve

We spent Christmas eve night making the manger and Bethlehem scene out of Graham Crackers and candy. The kids each decorated their own cottage, as well as had a few snacks. It was not the most artistic of scenes, but we really enjoyed doing it all together.

Brook is very much into posing for the camera these days. She'll drop anything she's doing if you have the camera ready.

Is there anything better than happy and loving children?

We finished off the night singing a few Christmas Carols and reading the Scriptural account of the Saviors birth. There is something very sad about the Christmas season coming to a close. But what a blessing to have a knowledge of the birth and life of the Savior.

Grandma and Grandpa Grygla are here for Christmas, and boy are we grateful. They really have made it so nice and festive. Somehow since they have been here we have eaten well and the dishes are magically clean every day. The kids are thrilled to have them here, and often complain of being the only kids in the world that do not live by any of their grandparents. We love family!

More Activities at Bass Pro

Here is Grandma Carolyn giving Jacob pointers on how to use the crossbow. Jacob was in heaven.

Everyone had a great time shooting at the targets which would light up when you hit them. The girls were very excited to figure out how to use the sights and actually aim the gun.

Here Comes Santa Claus

After one long day home with no school and very cold weather, we were ready to get out. So we headed over to Bass Pro Shop to see Santa. The girls got themselves all dressed up since they knew they would be getting their picture taken.

We didn't know if Brooke would go for it, but their is nothing like positive sibling pressure. She just got in line with the rest of them without question although you can tell it is not the most comfortable thing she's ever done. Fortunately it was a very friendly looking Santa with a nice beard. Some Santas are just creepy looking if you ask me.

Totally Spoiled

I was totally spoiled with wonderful and needed gifts. Of course there were many adorable and pink outfits for the littlest Fenberg girls. I really can't believe that I am going to start all over, and with two at that! Somehow it is just too much to wrap my mind around.

Many of the women went together an purchased me this beautiful glider chair that came with a ottoman as well. (It had to be put out of sight due to the fun the kids were having on it:). I was also given a darling new infant seat so that we can actually get home from the hospital once they are finally born. I think we are set and ready to go, now if they will just be born! Brooke keeps telling me she wants them to come out. We'll see if she changes her mind...
