So, we are lucky enough to not only have a spring break, but also a winter break here in New England. I don't know the history behind the whole idea, but I am guessing that anyone who could afford to, found somewhere sunny to go. We on the other hand, had a blast in the snow. we spent several hours over the course of a few days building up a snow fort. This turned out to be no small task.

After receiving inspiration from Calvin and Hobbes, the gaurd of our fort was shot down by the gunman behind the tree. (Really he just melted and fell over) Anna thought we ought to add some strawberry juice to improve the effect. I thought we might scare our neighbors.

The poor little girls spent a lot of time in the house in their high chairs while we finished it. They definitely were troopers. They weren't super into the whole mitten thing. They wanted to eat that snow so bad!

Anna and Mary really worked hard. after building up the base and realizing it was getting wider and not taller, we started forming "bricks" in Tupperware bins. It really worked great, but took a lot of bricks.
